My name is Lesley Ito and I've been teaching English in Nagoya for over 20 years. I've had a blog connected to my school's webpage (www.bigbowenglish.com) for a very long time, but now I'm moving to Word Press.

Teaching children is something I really enjoy. When I was a child, I was in a special program where we learned about all kinds of different subjects of our own choosing. It was very different from the usual classroom setting and curriculum and I have fond memories of these lessons. This is what I try to create at my English school - a place where we can find out new and interesting things, but using a different language. A place stocked with great books to read so students can continue their learning experiences at home.

I also enjoy writing ELT materials and doing teacher training because I really enjoy sharing what I've learned with other teachers. This blog gives me another way to share!
