Austin and I went to the Nagoya City Museum today to prepare for the July 7th BIG BOW Museum Excursion. The exhibit is about Charles Schulz and the history of the Peanuts cartoon. When I was a child, I loved reading the Peanuts comic strips in the newspaper. My brother had a Peanuts album and memorized all the dialogue by heart. I can remember him saying the line, "It's a high fly ball, Charlie Brown," very dramatically as he recited the album to entertain family members when we got together.
It seems there are a lot of people in Nagoya who are also Peanuts fans, as the exhibit was very crowded for a Thursday morning. Austin and I really enjoyed taking notes so we can prepare the worksheets for the event. We are really looking forward to this!
