At BIG BOW English Lab, we place a high priority on literacy and have an extensive reading library. Over the years, I've learned a lot about how children read and how to motivate them to read extensively, but I had never taught this to adults. Three years ago, I jumped at the chance to teach reading classes to university freshmen once a week. It was a really great opportunity to see firsthand the differences and similarities between younger and older learners and I am grateful I had the opportunity. While this was a great experience, my work at BIG BOW is getting busier and this year I made the difficult decision that this semester would be my last. I'd like to thank all the teachers I had the pleasure of working with and the students that taught me as much as I taught them.
