Hi everyone!

 

My name is Michael Mazurkiewicz and starting in February, I'll be teaching at Big Bow. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone.

 

Before coming to Japan I lived in Sydney, Australia where the weather is usually very hot. I had not even seen snow before so winter in Japan was a fun experience for me. I had visited Japan before as a tourist, but living in Japan has been very interesting as I can see daily life here from a different perspective. I've been in Japan for one year now and during my time I've been able to experience a lot of different parts of Japanese culture! The history, art, and food of Japan are all so different compared to anything in Australia.

 

When you meet me, the first thing you will notice is that I am very tall. I am often asked if I am two meters tall but unfortunately I'm not, I'm only 195cm. The next question people will ask is if I play basketball, and yes, I do. I enjoy playing a lot of sports including cricket, table tennis, soccer and more! In Sydney I work as a graphic artist and so I also enjoy drawing, painting and visiting galleries and museums.

 

I can't wait to get started and I hope we can all have fun learning English together!
